Janie Howland
Janie is thrilled to make her London debut at the Southwark Playhouse with the 10th anniversary production of Operation Epsilon, having previously designed the U.S. premiere.
Recent work includes: New Works Festival (Moonbox Productions); The Color Purple (Umbrella Stage); Rooted (Lyric Stage Company); Urban Nutcracker (year 7, City Ballet of Boston); English (Speakeasy Stage) and 3 Decembers (Berkshire Opera Festival).
She is from Boston, Massachusetts, and has worked at venues including NYC Dance Alliance, Lynn Redgrave Theatre (NY), InterAct Theatre (PA), Mass MOCA, New Rep, Odyssey Opera, Weston Playhouse (VT), North Shore Music Theatre, Ohio Star Theatre (OH), Merrimack Rep, NJ Shakespeare Festival (NJ). 4-time Elliot Norton Award winner for Outstanding Scenic Design, 4-time IRNE Award winner for Best Set Design (including Operation Epsilon), Adjunct faculty at Bridewater State University, Emerson and Wellesley College. Founder of the Prop Co-Op. USA Local 829.
